Brand new six-pack 12-ounce cans of Black Raven Brewing’s Coco Jones Coconut Porter hits the shelves Dec 2. This beer has a storied history at Black Raven. It was first brewed back in 2009 as a variant of the Redmond, Washington brewery’s Tamerlane Brown Porter, infused with toasted coconut. When customers went cuckoo for Coco, Black Raven decided to enter it in the World Beer Cup where it won a gold medal (category: herb/spiced beer) in 2010. It joins Trickster IPA as Black Raven’s second 12-ounce can offering.

In Dec. 1998, Art Larrance and Ron Gansberg opened the doors to Cascade Brewing on the bottom floor of the Raccoon Lodge & Brew Pub. Dec. 6 through Dec. 11, the Portland brewery invites fans to join them in raising a glass in celebration of its 18th anniversary.
