Peaks and Pints Monday Cider Flight: Yonder

Share

Founded in August 2020 by CEO Caitlin Braam, Head Cidermaker Tim Larsen and Creative Director Maddy Porter, Yonder Cider’s taproom is a stone’s throw from Seattle’s Green Lake and a drive from the orchards and pressing facility in Wenatchee — the heart of Apple Country. Yonder creates cider that’s as balanced, bright, and complex as Wenatchee itself. Crafted using a blend of bittersweet cider apples and juicy dessert apples, Yonder ciders are hardly simple, and never straightforward, but you can always count on them being interesting. Yonder and Bale Breaking Brewing will open a joint taproom in the heart of Seattle’s Ballard Distillery District, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4. Located at 826 NW 49th Street, doors will open at noon at the expansive new location, bringing 32 taps of Washington-made beer and cider together under one roof. Today, Peaks & Pints suggests a to-go flight of Yonder cider – a flight we call Peaks and Pints Monday Cider Flight: Yonder.

Peaks and Pints Monday Cider Flight: Yonder

Yonder Palisades

6.5% ABV

Palisades cider is a blend Fuji, Honeycrisp, Roxbury Russet, Dabinett, various red fleshed apples and Pacific Northwest blackberries, all of which is supported by an herbal hint of sage. The semi-sweet cider pours a clear ruby red with heavy carbonation. Moderate to strong berry hits the nose, followed by strong tart berry flavor with a hint of sage in the finish.

Yonder First Anniversary

6.9% ABV

A year ago, Yonder Cider opened their Yonder Bar, which was basically a garage bar — the first taproom of its kind in the state of Washington. This road wasn’t easy with a neighbor trying to force them to close, but changing the game is what Yonder did and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Their First Anniversary cider blend is aromatic rich and full bodied, with a touch of spice and notes of ripe stone fruit.

Yonder Rosé Rosé

6.9% ABV

Made with red fleshed apples, this lovely rosé hard cider is dry and crisp with notes of strawberry and ripe pear.
