Tacoma Sandwich Special of the Day: Robby Pastrami

FRIDAY, JAN. 14 2022: Peaks & Pints Kitchen Director Robby Peterson is known as “Robby Pastrami” by his kitchen colleagues. Pastrami is his life. Robby invented Peaks’ flagship sandwich Pesto Pastrami, and numerous pastrami specials at Peaks. Today, Robby dons a particular pastrami smile as it’s National Pastrami Day. He’s whipped up a pastrami special that keeps all the focus on his favorite meat: pastrami, Havarti, mustard, mayo, pickles, tomato, and arugula on … wait for it … rye (natch).

PAIRING: Structures Brewing Who Goes There (Batch #2)

With pastrami’s powerful seasonings, you’ll need a more pungent pairing beer like an IPA. The bitterness of an IPA won’t get lost amongst the liberally seasoned and smoked pastrami and the hop punch stands up to the herbaceous bite. Structures’ Who Goes There (Batch #2) hazy IPA hopped with Galaxy, Simcoe, and Citra will also quench your thirst after the salty pastrami.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of our craft beer and cider bar, bottle shop and restaurant is being a gathering place for the community. As a neighborhood restaurant, we take pride in our commitment to providing a clean, safe, and vibrant environment. Please rest assured that Peaks & Pints has built upon these best practices to follow the COVID-19 protocol provided by the CDC.

We’re open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, but we hope to return to “before times” hours when we’re able to seat at full capacity.
