Brushes and Brews at Peaks and Pints

A night of painting and pints awaits during Brushes and Brews at Peaks and Pints where South Sounders 21 and older are invited to learn from local art instructor Laura Eklund as she guides them through a night of laughter, creativity, and 850-plus beers and ciders beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23.

For her first painting event in what will be a regular last Tuesday of the month series, participants will paint a cute snail on a mushroom. If Eklund yells, “Let’s get our creative juices flowing!” she means it’s time to order another beer.

Show up before 6:15 p.m. or contact Eklund if you’d like to make a reservation at lauraeklundart.com. The cost is $30 per person for all art supplies and instructions. She accepts cash, cash app, PayPal, Venmo or Zelle.

Grab a brush, a brew and come paint with her. Ecklund has been creating art in the South Sound for years — from producing art festivals to teaching painting to pouring the perfect beer — and she knows her stuff.
