Vivid can be defined as something that is clear, intense, and highly detailed, giving a strong impression or image in one’s mind. It often refers to a strong and vibrant experience, memory, or depiction that appears lively, realistic, or remarkably bright. Tacoma Arts Live’s 2024 fundraising gala, VIVID, is dedicated to bringing light, perspective, and joy as they move collectively toward a vibrant future for the arts. Saturday, March 23, arts enthusiasts will gather at the Foss Waterway Seaport Museum to raise critical funds for Tacoma Arts Live’s service as a vibrant hub for arts and culture. All contributions will light the way for the dynamic work of Tacoma Arts Live. VIVID is influenced by their immersive Claude Monet exhibit, Imagine Monet, at the Tacoma Armory in both theme and, hopefully, gala attire. The evening’s festivities include drinks, dinner, programming, opportunities to purchase unique experiences, and live music. After the paddles are raised in support of a bright future for Tacoma Arts Live, the dance floor will open-up for salsa, led by their teaching artists to the live accompaniment by Café Tinto. Plan your VIVID attire while sipping Seattle Cider’s new VIVID Light Cider. Every sip is a radiant celebration of local fruit, made with Washington apples and real juice. Naturally low in alcohol, these mindfully sourced sessionable ciders are full-flavored, well-balanced, and minimally processed to leave no trace. Seattle Cider VIVID Tart Apple
4.2% ABV
Brix is a measurement of sugar content in a liquid. When apples are milled and then pressed into juice, the sugar in the juice is measured in brix. One degree brix is equivalent to one gram of sucrose in 100g of solution. On average, most apples grown in Washington state will be between 12-13° brix. The sugar in apple juice is what is fermented to produce alcohol and trace amounts of CO2, resulting in hard cider. After fermentation, additional sugars can be added to the cider so that they contain residual sugar. The source of this additional sugar can come not only from apple juice, but also other forms of sugar like honey or other fruits. The residual sugar content of a cider plays an important role in helping to balance out the acidity and flavors of a drink. At 98 calories, 1.2° brix, and 4.2-percent ABV, Tart Apple is crafted from Seattle Cider’s favorite ingredient, fresh pressed Washington apples.

“Seattle Cider Co remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation within the beverage industry. When first crafting our flagship Light Cider, we had a few goals in mind: continue our success as the cider choice for both beer drinkers and wine drinkers, disrupt the massive light beer category with our craft offering and create a beverage that is the perfect companion for every occasion,” says Felix Madrid, Seattle Cider general manager. “The result was our highly celebrated Light Cider. Since then, we’ve been working daily to expand our light cider offerings, developing exceptional flavors suitable for every drinker for every occasion.” VIVID Juicy Pear starts with an aroma of orchard-fresh pears followed by a vibrant burst of fresh apple. The taste is a fusion of tart apple and juicy pear flavors. The apple provides a crisp acidity while the pear adds a mellow sweetness, creating a bold, balanced, and fruity profile.
