Your mother? She’s easy. She likes spending time with you. She likes brunch. She would love that new Coach bag … but she’s way too selfless to buy it for herself. On Mother’s Day, you can be the hero. Father’s Day is another story. Your father is not easy. His hobbies mostly involve television, not that we’re stereotyping or anything. And if he needs something, he buys it for himself (or tasks Mom with it). What the heck could Dad possibly want? Beer and you. Peaks & Pints presents a Father’s Day themed beer flight that can be enjoyed with our sandwiches or taken home to enjoy while you watch your kids struggle through good will but forced chores. Stop by our craft beer bar, bottle shop and restaurant in the Proctor District today and enjoy Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Dad Themed Beer.
Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Dad Themed Beer
Seapine Pool Dad
4% ABV
Brewed exclusively for Bottleworks and Full Throttle Bottles craft beer bottle shops and taprooms in Seattle, Seapine Brewing also taps this summer seasonal in their South Seattle taproom, when available. It’s a crisp, refreshing, and thirst-quenching American light lager with soft biscuit malt flavors, plus clean and mild hop accents. It’s also cold conditioned with lemon zest. Fun fact: Most Seapine brewers have graduated from the UC-Davis Brewing Program. It’s one of the oldest and respected brewing schools in the world.
Baerlic Dad Beer!
4.8% ABV
Baerlic Beer has thrived thanks to devoting a significant part of their taplist to lighter, crowd-pleasing lagers and pilsners. Their work-a-day approach has paid off: their Dad Beer, which grabbed bronze for Golden, Blonde And Other Light Ales at the 2020 Oregon Beer Awards. Brewed with flaked corn reminiscent of our great great granddad’s favorite chuggin’ beer from the 1880s this golden lager has more of a crushed corn flakes aroma than the corn syrup we all know too well. Mild traces of tangerine, hay, and dried flowers add to the aroma. The taste is similar to the classics, but much more pronounced. The corn flakes are dominant, but like a simple and healthy breakfast, it works. Some white rice like sweetness, some water crackers, a slash of orange, and a hint of floral hops finish it off. It finishes dry, but not too dry.
Perennial Vacation Dad
4.7% ABV
Grab your fanny packs and cargo shorts and dive head first into Perennial Artisan Ales‘ crushable, hoppy summer ale. Simple grist, clean yeast, and a dry finish will make you want to load up the station wagon and throw the map out the window.
Kulshan Dad Bod
5.6% ABV
Kulshan Brewing’s Dad Bod, which is a hazy pale ale brewed to benefit the Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition, is named after the Dad Bod trail the Bellingham brewery adopted on Galbraith Mountain. This refreshing summer brew is superbly crushable, bursting with juicy tropical fruit notes and zesty citrus accents.
Black Raven Grandfather Raven
9.5% ABV
Grandpa is important to remember this Father’s Day, too! Black Raven Brewing’s Grandfather Raven Russian imperial stout is full of rich dark caramel notes, unsweetened chocolate, and hints of coffee aromas and flavors.
