Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Hoppy Burgerwich Day!

Share

Beer and burgers pair well. If you don’t believe us, just ask your grandpa — he’ll tell you that burgers and beer have been paired together forever.  Whether a juicy cheeseburger or a Frisko Freeze Triplemeat-Double Cheese, there’s nothing like biting into something mouthwatering and delicious while sipping on a cold one. The prevailing culinary wisdom in America is that burgers pair best with hoppy beers. Peaks & Pints doesn’t disagree. Hops are a nice way to cut through fat and bolder flavors in a burger’s toppings. The most logical place to start is with the Peaks & Pints Burgerwich: roast beef, special sauce, lettuce, Beecher’s Cheddar, pickles, onion on French bread. Of course, if you’ve been to a typical cookout, you know that pretty much any beer will taste delightful with the burger we just described. We get that. But if we’re getting specific, hops are a great way to go. The citrusy and often sweet-perceiving aspect of many of today’s hoppy beers is a wonderful counterpoint to a classic burger’s unctuous fat, cheese, and condiments. Since it’s National Cheeseburger Day, Peaks & Pints presents an in-house flight of hoppy beers that pair well with our Burgerwich special or grab these hoppy beers from our 850-plus cooler and enjoy with your backyard barbecue burgers. Either way, enjoy Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Hoppy Burgerwich Day!

Stemma Take The Scenic Route

5% ABV

Brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Chinook hops, Stemme Brewing’s Take The Scenic Route pale ale offers a smooth balanced bitterness with a bright aroma of citrus and berry. With a touch of malt notes with some bread, the hops in this pale ale offer some green grapes and lime. The cool can artwork is designed by Western Washington University student Owen Paznokas.

Future Primitive Farmboy IPA

6.5% ABV

You’ll find Farmboy Bites operating out of the food trailer at White Center’s Future Primitive Brewing. Their burger meat is much larger than the bun, but every bite is immensely enjoyable, as are the jojos. The smash burgers are thin and crisp with lacy edges, held together with melted American cheese. Future Primitive brewed Farmboy IPA in honor of their parking lot guest, as well as a delicious option for pairing with the burgers. Farmboy IPA is a light, slightly hazy IPA with subtle hoppiness and a lager-like finish.

Russian River Mosaic Stack

6.5% ABV

Russian River Brewing’s Mosaic Stack is brewed with 90-percent Mosaic and 10-percent Simcoe and embodies a more modern West Coast IPA. This easy drinking beer has a beautiful hop aroma of peach, pear, and floral notes. Tastes is light and refreshing with subtle malt and stone fruits followed by a dry hoppy finish.

Dru Bru Fresh Hop CLS Farms 2024

6% ABV

The first of three fresh hop beers brewed by Dru Bru, Fresh Hop CLS Farms 2024 features freshly picked Centennial hops from, of course, CLS Farms. These hops went directly from the fields to Dru Bru’s Snoqualmie Pass brewhouse within a matter of hours. Doing so gives this IPA a spectrum of aromas — resin, earthy, dank, and grassy — with supporting notes of citrus and stone fruit

Stone 28th Anniversary Hazy Double IPA

8.5% ABV

Since Stone Brewing started brewing in 1996, the craft beer world has expanded – and so have the expert growers of our precious beer ingredients. The Southern California brewery’s relationships with hop suppliers and farmers are a huge part of how they have been able to churn out excellent IPA after excellent IPA. For their 28th Anniversary Hazy Double IPA, Stone brewed with Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin for an intensely fruity, triumphantly tropical IPA fit for commemorating 28 years of Stone Brewing.
