Our Mutual Friend Brewing, or OMF, opened their doors in 2012 starting with a modest 31-gallon brew system and would later grow to a 10-barrel brew system along with additional equipment including oak foeders affectionately named Bert and Ernie and a couple of lagering tanks. OMF would spend the next 11 years creating world-class beer using local ingredients and providing an inclusive space that welcomes creatives, locals, out-of-towners, brewers, and everyone in between — including Peaks & Pints in 2023 during the Great American Beer Festival. XBP Limited Liquids has brought OMF to Western Washington, including Peaks & Pints in Tacoma’s Proctor District. Stop by today for an in-house flight of OMF beer — a flight we’re calling Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Our Mutual Friend Beer.

Our Mutual friend The Fizz
4.7% ABV
This pilsner is brewed with 100-percent Colorado malt, hops and water for a crystal-clear golden appearance and light but characterful aroma with a subtle breadiness and faint floral edge. On the tongue, expect a touch rustic in the flavor, with earthy bitterness that counters the very light honey malt notes.
Our Mutual Friend Nectar Reflector
5.3% ABV
A foeder fermented mix culture golden sour refermented with Colorado honey. It has big stone fruit character with minerality and funky aromatics. It’s balanced but with assertive acidity.
Our Mutual Friend Salo
5.4% ABV
This classic, Belgian style saison is brewed with Colorado malts and hops. plus fermented with Fantome yeast for blonde to honey coloring, lovely carbonation and a short but lasting white head on it. The initial nose is slightly hoppy with lawn clippings, lemongrass, and herbal green tea, but then the yeast offers white wine, white pepper, subtle coriander, and light funk. The flavor is similar with added white and black pepper, and dried flowers.
Our Mutual Friend Neon Nail
7.1% ABV
Our Mutual Friend’s flagship hazy IPA is the Neon Nail brewed with Vic Secret, Galaxy, and Citra hops. Mango, dank papaya, peaches, pears, melon, faint plum and some sweet grain command the nose while firm malt takes second chair to mango, grapefruit, pine, prickly herbal bitterness, and resiny hash on the tongue.
Our Mutual Friend Stingray Jesus
7.5% ABV
Charlotte, a stingray in North Carolina, had a pup, and the ECCO Aquarium in Hendersonville, N.C., don’t know how because she’s in a tank with no male rays. She shares a tank with many animals, among which are two bamboo sharks. Because they’re both male, many speculated for a long time that they may be the true parents of Charlotte’s Stingray Jesus. On the other hand, Our Mutual Friend does know how their Stingray Jesus was born. They hopped the West Coast hazy-ish IPA with Riwaka, Luminosa, and Centennial.
