Peaks and Pints Lodge Meeting with 7 Seas Brewing
November 16, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Peaks and Pints will host a lodge meeting and canned food drive with 7 Seas Brewing Co. at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16. In addition to special 7 Seas craft beers, those who bring in canned goods for the Emergency Food Network will receive a raffle tickets and the opportunity to score some sweet 7 Seas swag.
7 Seas Brewing Co. is the brainchild of Mike Runion and Travis Guterson, who started the Pierce County brewery at the unlikely age of 24 in 2008. The pair grew up on opposite sides of the Kitsap Peninsula — Runion is a graduate of Gig Harbor High School and Guterson of Bainbridge Island High — and met in the middle, at Silver City Brewery. Runion, who has a business degree in entrepreneurship, was doing an internship while Guterson was a production brewer at the time, back when Silver City’s production facility sat in Silverdale. What binds them is their passion for craft beer — and a shared drive to build a successful business. Today, 7 Seas Brewing has two production plants and taprooms — an 11,000 sq. ft. facility in downtown Gig Harbor and a new, 80,000-square-foot expansive taproom and production facility in downtown Tacoma at a site that once held the Heidelberg Brewery bottling and shipping operations.
During the 7 Seas lodge meeting Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Peaks and Pints, the brewing company’s Kristal Dunkel Weizen, Broken Mast Brown Ale, Chili Pepper Export Stout, Rude Parrot IPA, Winter Ale and 253 Pilsner will pour from our Western red cedar tap log as 7 Seas sales executive Lauren Tennison shout out raffle winners. Indeed, we’ll be pouring several hard-to-find 7 Seas brews.
