Brew Five Three Questions with Sean Larson of Silver City Brewery

Sean Larson, sales executive with Silver City Brewery in Bremerton, will pour his beer at Tacoma Arts Live’s annual Brew Five Three Beer & Music Festival at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place Saturday, Aug. 10, during Tacoma Beer Week 2024. Larson and his fellow Silver City sales executive Scott David will join 30 or so regional breweries and cideries on the giant lawn, as well as the delicious local restaurants and live entertainment — all against the stunning backdrop of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains.

PEAKS & PINTS: What are you pouring at this year’s Brew Five Three?

SEAN LARSON: Scott and I will pour our Silver City Pils and Range West IPA — both are our new core beers we introduced at the beginning of the year to help launch our rebrand.

PEAKS & PINTS: Brew Five Three benefits Tacoma Arts Live’s arts educational programs that serve 40,000+ students, teachers, and parents annually in the South Sound. How does art play into Silver City’s culture?

LARSON: Music plays a major role at our brewery. As many know, we have done a few collaboration beers with the Bremerton-based band MXPX.  Also, more recently, we have incorporated art in our can designs with Blind Tiger, which even won a few awards for their can and merchandise designs.

PEAKS & PINTS: What’s on Silver City’s party schedule?

LARSON: We are proud to be one of the primary sponsors for this year’s Rock the Dock 24 — the music festival celebrating the Bremerton community. Silver City runs the beer garden August 17th and 18th at the Louis Mentor Boardwalk in Downtown Bremerton.

Brew Five Three is one of many events happening during Tacoma Beer Week 2024, which runs August 9-18.
