Wingman Brewers 5th Anniversary Party photos
Date: April 23, 2016
Event Information
Craft beer folks know how to celebrate a momentous occasion: with great beer and plenty of it. And when they’re ringing in their own milestones, you can always expect one heck of a good time. Such was the case when Wingman Brewers celebrated its 5th anniversary Saturday, April 23, in a warehouse three doors down from its Tacoma brewery.
Friends, family, customers, distributors, even the Bikerobrew folks drank Wingman’s full gamut, including the new, excellent 5th Anniversary Quintuple Hops Imperial IPA with Citra, Mosaic, Comet, Simcoe and Amarillo hops for a slightly resinous and pine-y introduction followed by earthy and dried fruit flavors.
New Wingman brewer Mike Dempster was in the (ware)house, chatting up the new beer, as well as his craft beer history at Greenpoint Beer Works in New York, Buoy in Astoria, Oregon, and Graff Brygghus in Norway.
A side trip to neighboring Old Soldier Distillery added to the festivities.
We never saw Wingman head brewer Ken Thoburn smile so much, as witnessed in the Wingman brain trust group shot included in our photo tour of the party.
