Founded in 2008 by 24-year-olds Mike Runion and Travis Guterson, 7 Seas Brewing Co. set out to innovate, to create beers that went where no beers had gone before. They did crazy things, such as fill cans rather than bottles, preserving their beer and the environment. Today, with 14,000 square feet of brewing space, including a popular taproom, beer garden and The Galley food truck, it’s surprising the downtown Gig Harbor brewery has time to devote to their Instagram page. Luckily, they post, and it’s not all duckfaces … although they did shove hops into their nostrils for a selfie.
