Peaks and Pints Friday The Firkinteenth

Nobody really knows for sure where Friday the 13th originated. Some say it arose after Philip IV of France arrested hundreds of Knights Templar on Friday, Oct. 13, 1307. But most likely nobody figured out that date until the 20th century. Then Dan Brown popularized it in The DaVinci Code. Thanks, buddy. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th and turned 13 on a Friday the 13th, so it’s her lucky number! Squee! Anyhoo, the next Friday the 13th lands during Tacoma Beer Week, and you need something perfectly thematic to do. But not unlucky, please, because there’s enough disappointment circling the planet. You need Peaks and Pints Friday The Firkinteenth!

Peaks and Pints will host Friday The Firkinteenth at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13 featuring Double Mountain Brewery and Machine House Brewing walking underneath our ladder, around our black cat and plopping firkins on our bar counter for those lucky folks hanging with us on a unlucky night.
