Peaks and Pints National IPA Day 2019
August 1, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 10:30 pm
Peaks and Pints National IPA Day 2019
Peaks and Pints will be throwing down for National IPA Day, a fictional holiday on Thursday, August 1, that will become nonfictional when the first rush of dank juicy tropical piney booze touches your tongue. Peaks and Pints will turn our Western red cedar tap log into a billboard for the overhopped beer made famous for its resiliency during long sea voyages by ship.
The term “IPA” is an acronym for “India pale ale,” and history suggests it originated in 19th-century England. In America, the style is simply referred to as “IPA” and is most often brewed with domestic ingredients — particularly the hops, a standard ingredient in beer that comes from the flower of the humulus lupulus plant, which is technically a vegetable.
So there you have it. Whether every day is IPA day for you, or whether you want to drink your first on #IPAday, August 1 should be a happy, hoppy day.
