From April 7-28, Peaks and Pints challenged some of Washington state’s best India pale ales to an IBU-to-IBU showdown of hop combat called the Tournament of Beer: Washington State IPAs. Patterned after the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, the Tournament of Beer featured 64 IPAs from the state, all seeded by public vote, separated into four geographical regions with daily voting at tournamentofbeer.com. Sip by sip, the public drank their way down to two remaining IPAs, which will battle live at the Tournament of Beer Championship Party at Peaks and Pints, April 29. Expect cheering, heated discussions and door prizes.
