The Washington Beer Commission announced more than 100 beers for the 5th Annual Everett Craft Beer Festival, taking place on Saturday, Aug. 20 on Hoyt Avenue in downtown Everett. The event will feature 34 Washington Breweries pouring more than 100 seasonal and special brews including a Disco Lemonade Berliner Weisse, a Pineapple IPA, a Nitro Brown with Hazelnut and Praline, a Strawberry Daiquiri Summer Ale, a Raspberry Wheat, and a deep red brew called Life on Mars, just to name a few to get your taste buds tingling.

Bacon, Eggs & Kegs, Seattle’s largest brunch event, returns to CenturyLink Field’s North Plaza Aug. 27-28 with unique bacon and egg brunch dishes from hand-selected local restaurants and chefs, plus craft beer and cider tastings, bacon butchery education, games, live entertainment and more.

Fresh off its recent Best of Show – Runner Up for its 1763 Revolutionary West Country Cider at the 2016 Portland International Cider Cup, Cider Riot! opened its Cider Riot! Pub. After more than two years of producing its cider inside his back garage, founder and owner Abram Goldman-Armstrong is operating his expanded cidery at 807 NE Couch St. in Portland.

Sunday, Aug. 14, Ninkasi Brewing will host its 10th Anniversary with a gathering at its brewery in Eugene, Oregon. For this milestone, one of country’s fastest growing breweries brewed a beer for this anniversary with N10 Imperial Blended Ale. Ninkasi founders Jamie Floyd and Nikos Ridge discuss the last 10 years.

Stone Brewing, the 10th largest craft brewery in the United States, and San Diego-based hospitality collective, Untitled Hospitality, announce their partnership to develop Stone Hotel — the companies’ first-ever brewery hotel. Guests to Stone Hotel will delight in a craft beer experience complete from the moment of arrival.

MillerCoors, the country’s second largest beer company, continued its summer-long burst of acquisition by purchasing its third craft brewery in three weeks, announcing that Texas’ Revolver Brewing would join its Tenth and Blake craft and import division. The acquisition of Revolver closely traces announced agreements to purchase Oregon’s Hop Valley on July 29 and Georgia’s Terrapin Beer Company on July 20.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog has a new special, Triumph’s Summer Election Special, which can be found on Hulu. What can we expect? Probably a lot of the golden comedy he produced while with Conan … without so much network censorship. Check out the trailer (for you to poop on).
