Peaks and Pints 8th 8Anniversary 3-Day Celebration

Peaks & Pints turns 8 years old Friday, Nov. 1. We’re not looking for the traditional gifts such as bronze and pottery, or the modern takes of linen and lace. No, we’re asking for you to take a three-day vacation and party with us! Peaks & Pints celebrates our 8th Anniversary with three parties: National Cider Month Finale Party and Washington Wild Fundraiser with Schilling Cider on Wednesday, Oct. 30; AleSmith Brewing Speedway Grand Prix Road Show with eight scary, dark and delicious, draft barrel-aged beers on Halloween, Oct. 31; and the planet’s Puniest Beer & Cider Festival on our official 8th Anniversary Friday, Nov. 1.

National Cider Month Finale Party and Washington Wild Fundraiser with Schilling Cider

Established in 2019 by Schilling Cider, the Washington-based cider company with Sasquatch as a mascot, launched October National Cider Month five years ago. Throughout the month, Peaks & Pints has featured Schilling Cider with cider flights and special parties. As part of our 8th Anniversary, Peaks & Pints presents our National Cider Month with Schilling Finale Party Wednesday, Oct. 30 with many Schilling ciders on tap, a Schilling cider flight, and top-tier swag giveaways. Since Schilling and Peaks & Pints have partnered with Washington Wild many times, this celebration will also be a fundraiser for this benevolent, non-profit organization whose mission is to protect wild lands and rivers in Washington state through advocacy, education and civic engagement.

AleSmith Brewing Speedway Grand Prix Road Show

Mark your calendars for Halloween! For the second year in row, Peaks & Pints will be a pit stop for AleSmith Brewing’s Speedway Grand Prix on the road. The longtime, San Diego brewery takes their Signature Speedway Grand Prix event on the road, popping up in cities nationwide, including Tacoma. Join us for an epic night filled with eight exclusive Speedway Stout variants and other delicious barrel-aged favorites on draft such as rocky road, maple and raspberry variants, Toasted Coconut Vietnamese Edition, Barrel-Aged Speedway Coffee Cake Edition, and Pierre Seine Belgian Strong Dark Ale. Come out and meet the AleSmith team and get your hands on some Speedway and AleSmith swag (available while supplies last). Save yourself from a night of handing out free sweets to waist-high werewolves — and enjoy a far more grown-up fiendish race to the finish. Howling at the moon optional.

Peaks and Pints Puniest Beer & Cider Festival

How did you celebrate your 8th birthday? Did you maybe get a fun ice cream cake from Baskin-Robbins? Some party balloons from the B&I? Invite your friends over for a sleepover in the backyard, or meet up with them at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour? Maybe you were lucky you received a mountain of birthday presents and a bouncy castle. Well, that’s not how Peaks & Pints celebrates eight years slinging craft beer and cider in Tacoma’s Proctor District. No, we’re channeling the party into a mini beer and cider festival, Peaks and Pints Puniest Beer & Cider Festival, complete with the debut of our 2024-25 house cider and beer — Incline Cider Basecamp Proctor Dry Cider and Loowit Brewing Silent Trees IPA. No admission fee. No tokens. No pretzel necklaces. Just carefully curated taps. Oh, but there will be cake. DJ dAb will spin vibes. Incline Cider and Loowit Brewing will be in the house, too.

“Serving Pierce County’s beer-, cider-, and sandwich-loving communities for eight years has been an amazing experience,” said Ron Swarner, co-owner, who owns the craft beer and cider bar, bottle shop and restaurant with Robby and Justin Peterson. “We have met so many phenomenal people and had the pleasure to serve and consume some of the best beers and ciders on the planet. We’re also thrilled opportunities to tap into Peaks & Pints to support causes that are important to us and our customers. Sincere thanks for the eight years of support. Cheers!”
