In his poem “Chicago,” Carl Sandburg refers to this great city as “Hog Butcher for the World.” And though the literal meaning behind that moniker has faded since the closing of the Union Stock Yards in 1971, it embodies and inspires Chicago brewery Hop Butcher For The World and the beers they brew in three meaningful ways: they experiment with hops in every way possible, they respect the craft of butchering, and, even though their known as just “Hop Butcher”, co-founder Jeremiah Zimmer and Jude La Rose still believe the “For The World” part is an essential and meaningful element of their name as it inspires the ingredients they use, the characters on their labels, the balance of their beers, how they communicate and more. If there’s one thing in this world you should know about Hop Butcher, it’s the brew of juicy IPAs dripping with hop aroma and flavor. Hop Butcher beers have arrived in Tacoma, and Peaks & Pints has an in-house beer flight today to prove it. Please stop by our Proctor District beer bar, bottle shop, and restaurant and enjoy Peaks and Pints Beer Flight: Hop Butcher For The World.
