As a Tacoma native, it humbles me so much to be represented in my home town,” said Daniel Cady, head brewer at TapRoom Beer in San Diego, when he learned Peaks & Pints carried his beer — thanks to Stoup Distro in Seattle. Cady — who spent time at El Cajon Brewing and Manzanita Brewing/Twisted Manzanita Ales before taking the head brewer role at  Mikkeller, San Diego — stepped into the head brewer boots at TapRoom Beer in 2022 with  years of experience brewing a wide range of styles as well as numerous awards under his barrel aging program. TapRoom Beer was founded in 2006 by San Diego natives Kyle and Kevin Conover. Growing up in the emerging San Diego beer scene, the brothers took their passion and industry experience to create one of San Diego’s first craft beer bars focused exclusively on local San Diego beer. TapRoom Rhinestone Rodeo #2

5% ABV

The TapRoom has orchestrated four collaborations with Spokane County, Washington, beer industry folks LINC Malt, Cold Stream Malt, Lumberbeard Brewing, Uprise Brewing, and Whistle Punk Brewing with San Diego breweries Harland Brewing, Seek Beer, and East Village Brewing using the 100-percent Pacific Northwest grown and malted barley: Rhinestone Rodeo #1 Pilsner, #2 Dry-hopped Lager, #3 Kolsch, and #4 Dry-hopped Kolsch. Dry hopped with Riwaka hops, this easy drinking, crisp pilsner has notes of melon and subtle passionfruit over a beautifully balanced bready malt flavor.

TapRoom Rhinestone Rodeo #4

5.5% ABV

The TapRoom’s fourth Rhinestone Rodeo with the same beer industry folks listed above, is a dry hopped Kolsch brewed with NZ Cascade hops for citrus and tropical fruit notes with a nice hop bite.

TapRoom PB Haze

7% ABV

It was showtime for this hazy IPA last year grabbing a gold medal at Great American Beer Fest and at the Brewers Cup of California. Brewed with Citra, Motueka, Mosaic and El Dorado hops, expect in-your-face bright and dank hop flavor and the softest mouthfeel.

TapRoom Air Dancer

7.2% ABV

West Coast IPA brewed with Citra, Simcoe, Idaho 7, and Comet hops for a bona fide West Coast IPA with resin, grapefruit, tropical fruit and dankness.

TapRoom Illusion of Choice

12% ABV

Smooth, dangerous imperial stout aged 12 months in Elijah Craig Bourbon barrels, Woodford Reserve barrels, and tawny port barrels with a heavy port nose and notes of heavy roast, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon.
