How our loving acts of imagination can lead to transformation… I’ve been reading bell hook’s chapter on a ‘Living by a Love Ethic’ today. She writes: “When we are taught that safety lies always with the sameness, then difference, of any kind, will appear as a threat. When we choose to love we choose to move against fear — against alienation and separation. The choice to love is a choice to connect — to find ourselves in the other.” That’s what it’s all about! Choosing to live the love ethic over here at Finnriver today…re-opened with first come, first served seating and pre-reservations for club members Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 8 PM. #thirstythursday with my original drinking buddies Hank & Kobe ? @dogsontap. . i had to post this beer from @otherbrotherbeer because i am self-proclaimed wheat beer hater. In my opinion, they’re just usually too sweet for me and if not, sort of boring. Matt opened this beer we got from the @my_local_thrive x @purelovefoodco Father’s Day cookalong and I tried a sip and was pleasantly surprised! it had a soft biscuity and floral aroma and it had good soft medium body malt backbone that was somehow dry even with the honey at play. the honey lent a floral aspect i really loved as well. . Definitely something i could haha crushed a pint of…. but I didn’t want to steal @petey_scotch’s beer ?. .
