BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL! Had the opportunity to link with my homies @do_brew & @justoyomoney of @urbansouth_htx to brew our version for the famous Black is Beautiful beer initiated by @weatheredsoulsbrewing! With a pretty extensive boil we clocked ours in at 11% abv before conditioning this decadent stout on Kenya ?? & Ethiopia ?? coffee beans provided by @theroasterytx! A shit load of hand scraped vanilla beans were also added to this batch on top of milk sugar to create a smooth & creamy latté inspired stout. Deep notes of mocha, roast, vanilla and coffee to wake that ass up! Cheers to everyone that showed up in Houston to support the release as 100% of the proceeds will be donated to @blmhou ☕️ ? ✊?✊?✊?✊?

Today marks 11 years since we sold our first keg of beer. What a trip! I thought it would be easier to write this post, but I find myself reflecting back on so many incredible memories. Hard to put all the experiences and memories into words. All we can say is that, we are immensely thankful to all of those that have supported us over these years! Words can’t properly express our gratitude. So we’ll do what we do, make the best damn beer we can and get it to you as fresh as possible. We could not have gotten here if it weren’t for you. Much love. FYI: This year’s ‘2020 Annual Custom Growler’ and ‘11th Anniversary Bash’ are on hiatus, but we’ll get back to that when the time is appropriate.

Since 1970, Pride events are held annually throughout the world toward the end of June to mark the Stonewall riots, when patrons of the Stonewall Inn fought back during a police raid of the gay bar on June 28, 1969, considered the beginning of the gay liberation movement and fight for LGBTQ rights. For this 50 year anniversary of Pride, we are releasing 1969 IPA in remembrance of the contributions of activists like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, two transgender women of color who were the first to resist during the riots. 100% of proceeds will be donated to POCAAN, a multicultural, multi-social service agency committed to addressing health disparities experienced in marginalized communities. Hazy and golden, this IPA has flavors and aromas of mango, navel orange and cantaloupe from the Citra and Strata hops. Contains wheat. #pride?

When a lovely friend sends you a sweet snapshot of her new favorite Finnriver cider…This one is a limited release in our ‘Pollinator Series’, called: Shaded Stream SHADED STREAM STYLE: Wood aged, botanical cider AROMA & FLAVOR: Smells of barrel and graphite and nectar, mingled with vinous overtones of mature cider. Sharp on the palate initially and rounded by the wild blue elderberry. Fruity, woody, and smooth. APPLE VARIETI ES: Select blend of Washington Certified Organic apples. CIDERMAKER NOTES: This cider is part of our “Pollinator Series,” honoring our partnerships with local organizations who share a commitment to the land that sustains us. Remember when your mom told you to stay in school? She should have told you instead that studying science could land you a sweet job in beer. Luckily our brewery scientists listened to their moms and now use their super-smart skills to make sure every single beer that leaves our brewery is 100% quality. We don’t pretend to understand all their wizardry but know that they check every stage of the brew, from sourcing ingredients, to checking chemistry, micro testing for bacteria and even piercing cans to measure dissolved oxygen.
