Peaks and Pints presents Adventwiches Beeralendar Day 17: Frosty the Pizza Sandwich

An Advent calendar traditionally tells the story of the days leading to Christ’s birth via a large wooden box with tiny “windows” that are opened each day to reveal a small candy. Over time, they have become a largely secular, mostly cardboard holiday fixture filled with chocolates. The craft beer industry has been brewing with chocolates for a while now, and by some sort of mathematical theory, it makes sense for Peaks & Pints to include beer in our Adventwiches Beeralendar— a daily advent calendar featuring a holiday sandwich special and a winter beer behind a candy cane striped door. Kitchen Kylee opened the Day 17 door to reveal her Frosty the Pizza Sandwich special paired with Kulshan Kitten Mittens.

Kitchen Kylee’s Frosty the Pizza Sandwich special arrives with pepperoni, mozzarella, Parmesan, mozzarella, sundried tomato and garlic aioli, mozzarella, green peppers, and mozzarella on sourdough. It’s paired with Kulshan Brewing Kitten Mittens, a rich, extra medium bodied winter ale that smells of chocolate, dates, figs and light hop fruit. The right malt flavor finishes with chocolate and roast, balanced hop bitterness and light hop notes.
