Peaks and Pints Proctor Presents: Compass Rose chocolates
Let’s pair a Proctor District stocking stuffer with a holiday peppermint stout
Proctor is a boutique Tacoma neighborhood centered around North 26th Street and Proctor Street. It’s a small district packed with locally-owned and operated niche stores in which every detail — every window display, bushel of fresh produce, or interior cheer — is carefully curated for customers. Once again, the Proctor Business District dons candy cane stripes and white lights for their monthlong “Meet Me At Proctor’s Peppermint Place” celebration. Peaks & Pints craft beer and cider bar, bottle shop and restaurant has called Proctor home for more than seven years. We’re proud to be a part of this wonderful, caring community. Therefore, during this holiday season, not only are we highlighting a holiday beer or cider we think you should take home, but also the perfect present from our neighbors. Today, we present Peaks and Pints Proctor Presents: Compass Rose chocolates.
Compass Rose Tacoma
Located directly across the street from Peaks & Pints, Compass Rose features all the quirk, class, and sass of its original downtown Olympia location — with a T-town flair. Compass Rose offers artisan jewelry, colorful kitchen essentials, locally made lovelies, cards, books, and a vast assortment of surprises — including an awesome display of gifts greeting you at their door. As you step into the glorious gift and clothing store, look to your left. Chocolatier Kelly Mero’s Kelly’s Chocolates await. If you dig deep into Mero’s background, you’ll discover she was a student of Ewald Notter, one of the finest confectionary chefs and artist in the world. Do you know what pairs with chocolates? Oakshire Brewing’s Barrel-Aged Peppermint Bark Imperial Stout at Peaks & Pints.
Oakshire Barrel-Aged Peppermint Bark Imperial Stout
One of Peaks & Pints favorite iterations yet, Eugene, Oregon’s Oakshire Brewing’s 2023 Barrel-Aged Peppermint Bark Imperial Stout features mint, chocolate, and bourbon notes. Aged for 20 months in Heaven Hill barrels, this beer is the perfect holiday sipper — especially when paired with Kelly’s Chocolates.
