Commencement Bay is one of the brightest spots of hope for environmental restoration — thanks to the work of Communities for a Healthy Bay, or CHB. On March 1, the opening day of Tacoma Beer Week, Communities for a Healthy Bay and a local institution that lives and dies by clean water, Silver City Brewery in Bremerton, join forces with South Sound Surfrider for a community beach cleanup in Old Town Tacoma followed by the Gose With The Flow sour beer collaboration release party at Peaks & Pints in Tacoma’s Proctor District. Following the success of last year’s Tacoma Beer Week community clean-up sessions, this year’s festivities include a beach clean-up at the Les Davis Pier and Jack Hyde Park in Old Town Tacoma from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1. After the Saturday afternoon beach clean-up, go with the flow to Peaks & Pints for the Silver City and Communities for a Healthy Bay unique ocean-inspired sour beer Gose With The Flow release party from 2-4 p.m. In conjunction, Peaks & Pints will offer a flight of Silver City beer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. called Peaks & Pints Tacoma Beer Week Flight 2025: Silver City.

Silver City Gose With The Flow

5% ABV

The CBH team traveled to Bremerton to brew Gose With The Flow, a refreshing, tart, and subtly herbal sour crafted with regionally renowned lemon balm and San Juan Island sea salt, echoing the crisp essence of Puget Sound. The crushable gose, with bright citrus notes and a whisper of salinity, will be a worthy reward after several hours of bagging garbage on the shores of Commencement Bay.

Silver City Helles Lager

4.8% ABV

The Silver City Helles is a light-bodied, malt-forward lager with water cracker, honey, florals, and hay aromas. It is lightly bittered with Hersbrucker and Mt Hood hops for a subtle floral and herbal hop character.

Silver City Pils

5% ABV

Silver City has brewed a new, year-round pilsner with grainy aromas intermingling with subtle hints of water cracker and a touch of honey.

Silver City Phantasm IPA

6.2% ABV

On the cutting edge of innovation, Silver City’s tropical Phantasm IPA is fermented with specialty yeast designed to release passionfruit and other thiol aromas. It is brewed with Phantasm powder, a crossover ingredient from the world of winemaking. Additionally, it features Alora hop, which offers white grape and peach aromas.

Silver City Range West

6.6% ABV

A four-season beer, Range West is an approachable, light-bodied West Coast-style IPA with moderate bitterness balanced by citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and pine aromas.
