Post-pandemic, arts organizations have become isolated and entrenched in surviving and bringing audiences back. Attendance at traditional performing arts events continues to be depressed. Despite playing host to 90 creative entrepreneurs, including musicians, clothing designers, improv theater, and other creatives, plus their educational arts programs that serve 40,000+ students, teachers, and parents annually in the South Sound, Tacoma Arts Live, located in the Tacoma Armory, struggles with less funding. As part of Tacoma Beer Week, Peaks & Pints will host Tacoma Arts Live and Living Haus Beer on Thursday, March 6. TAL will offer free mini-performances throughout the night while audiences sip on Living Haus Beer. Living Haus will also host a plant swap. The brewery invites the public to bring plants or clippings for trade and grab mature clippings from plants growing in its tasting room in Portland. Peaks & Pints will donate draft proceeds from the Tacoma Beer Week 2025 event to Tacoma’s beloved arts organization. We also offer an all-day Thursday Living Haus flight called Peaks & Pints Tacoma Beer Week Flight: Living Haus.
Peaks & Pints Tacoma Beer Week Flight: Living Haus
Living Haus Mr. Mercury
4.9% ABV
Living Haus’ Mr. Mercury is a traditional Bohemian pilsner brewed with Saaz hops and a blend of Bohemian barley malts grown in the Czech Republic. This rich and complex malt profile is bready with a hint of biscuit on the finish that compliments the soft bitterness from the Saaz hops. Noble hop spice notes and delicate floral aromas tie everything together in a nice little package.
Living Haus Harris
6.7% ABV
Living Haus said, “Harris was a man who had never met a piece of chocolate he didn’t like. He liked bitter, sweet, and balanced flavors reminiscent of this beer. A person who taught the value of hard work and the rewards that preceded it, even though it meant waking up to jog five miles before taking your grandson to the clinic to teach them about radiographs.” A West Coast IPA, Harris is respectfully brewed for co-owner Conrad Andrus’ grandfather. Brewed with Citra, Centennial, Chinook, and Amarillo hops — plus a significant addition of Citra Incognito to give this beer a resiny citrus pop, this IPA boasts pine, orange marmalade, and lime flavors.
Living Haus Rosemary
6.8% ABV
ForeLand Brewing from McMinnville, Oregon, drove to Portland to help brew this San Diego-style IPA with tons of Krush, Simcoe, Chinook, and Krush Dynaboost hops. This dry and thirst-quenching IPA hints of sweet melon, gumdrop candies, guava juice, and sticky, icky purple stuff.
Living Haus Winnie Cooper
7% ABV
Winnie Cooper is a West Coast IPA starring Mosaic, one of the first hops Conrad, Mat, and Gavin fell in love with when they were young brewers. With a bit of help from her friends Simcoe and Vic Secret, this IPA has captured all the things they wanted out of these hops: Strawberries, peach, white grape, and guava on the nose and in the finish. It has a juicy feel with a solid, bitter finish.
Living Haus Pearl
6.5% ABV
Brewed with Stigbergets Bryggeri in Göteborg, Sweden, this coffee stout combines a complex array of crystal, chocolate, and roasted malts with malted and golden naked oats to create a full-bodied yet quaffable base stout layered with Sumatran Puju coffee from Portland’s Puff Coffee plus a touch of Madagascar vanilla.
