Craft Brewers Conference 2017 convenes in Washington, D.C. today where it was last seen in 2013.

MORNING FOAM FOR MONDAY, APRIL 10 2017: A seven-taster flight of craft beer news, from the fluffy head all the way down to useful stale beer. …

Once again Kendall and Kim Jones are happy to share this year’s Safeco Field beer lineup on their Washington Beer Blog. “When it comes to beer and food, the folks at Safeco Field aim to create a very Seattle-like experience. If you’re attending a Seattle Mariners game, craft beer is easy to find, just like it is around the city itself.

The “punk” founders of burgeoning craft beer maker BrewDog are set to share a windfall of up to £100m after they went mainstream by selling a stake in the business to private equity. The REAL story behind BrewDog’s “sellout” is that crowdfunding will only get you so far.

Based out of Arlington, Washington, the Skookum Brewery “Big, Bold, Strong” beers have become Seattle taproom staples, with its brews being predominantly produced from ingredients found in and around Washington state. The New Money IPA is the latest beer that showcases Skookum’s passion for local ingredients, creative recipes, and, to be frank, just really great beer.

April Fool’s Day 2017 has come and gone, and The Bruery’s “joke” has turned out to be not a joke at all. Offshoot Beer Co. is a very real thing. The Bruery said it never release an IPA. Technically, that’s right. Offshoot Beer Co. is the third brand approach by the California based brewery and will specialize in IPAs.

According to the Beer Compurgation, “Suddenly we’re drinking beers unprepared, unconditioned and unfit for consumption. And we’re lapping it up; exclaiming the virtues of de-malted hop water as if the Ancient Babylonians had it wrong from the beginning. It is as though beer only needed one added ingredient aside from water – those green leafy cones – and that the fermentation stage was never an added necessity. Alcoholic leaves became the future of beer; as if yellow bananas were now no good and the bitter skin tasting unripened green variety were preferable.” Beer Compurgation believes beer freshness is unrelenting nonsense.

The world’s largest and most important professional brewing conference is kicking off today in the nation’s capital and there’s not a better (or more fun) “industry-only” gathering on the face of the planet. Affectionally nicknamed The CBC, and presented by the Brewers Association, this year’s Craft Brewers Conference will bring together more than 14,000 brewing professionals for four days of far-ranging seminars, global networking, serious drinking and fun. Here’s a preview.

Finally, here are four super unusual ways to use leftover beer around the house.
