PREFUNK: The Broadway Center for the Performing Arts’ Brew Five Three: Tacoma’s Beer & Blues Festival continues to be the one-stop check-in for craft beer in the South Sound. Saturday, Aug. 5, you can walk up and down Broadway street with a taster glass and introduce yourself to the new craft breweries as well as 30 or so other breweries from around the state, while blues bands encourage you to get their crazy dancing on. At 6 p.m., Peaks and Pints has the pleasure of hosting a crew of Broadway Center volunteers armed with Brew Five Three tickets and craft beer on the brain. Stop by for a pint and grab advance discounted tickets to downtown Tacoma’s craft beer show. The Broadway Center crew will also have tickets for this weekend’s Tacoma Wined Up event. PFRIEM PFARMHOUSE NIGHT: Lift a glass to the pFriem family of artisanal beers — rife with complexity and elegance, influenced by the great brewers of Belgium, but unmistakably true to their homegrown roots in the Great Pacific Northwest. Tonight, The Red Hot hosts pFriem Family Brewers and the Hood River brewery’s farmhouse ales: pFriem Saison, pFriem Little Saison, pFriem Lemon Saison and pFriem Peche Lambic.
