Tacoma Comedy Club + Peaks and Pints = 120 minutes of fun

The Tacoma Comedy Club presents another Drunk Show where five comics perform a set each sober, and then while the other comics are performing they pound booze and return to the stage wasted to do another set. Jubal Flagg from Movin 95.5 FM tries to keep the thing flowing, beginning at 8 p.m.
PREFUNK: Described as “the holy grail for hopheads,” the Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales’ 120 Minute IPA gets its name for how long it’s boiled for — two hours, using only the finest American hops in the brewing and fermenting process — the result is an out-of-this-world beer that’s definitely not for everyone. The 120 Minute pushes the human palette to the limit — maxing out at 120 IBUs (see a theme here?). Despite this, there’s a nice, smooth finish that follows the initial hoppy burn. Peaks and Pints has tapped this treasure to remind everyone of our special Pre Record Store Day party with Dogfish Head April 20. Every year, the Baltimore brewery creates the official beer of Record Store Day; this year a tropical blonde ale called Beer To Drink Music To ’17. The ale features hibiscus flowers and kiwi juice, with strong citrus fruit aromas, hints of grapefruit and floral notes and a crisp, dry finish. We’ll be pouring the Beer To Drink Music To ’17 — as well as 120 Minute IPA, Olde School Barleywine, Palo Santo Marron and World Wide Stout. Every Dogfish Head beer ordered comes with a raffle ticket with a change to win an awesome Crosley/Dogfish Head turntable, which is on display at Peaks and Pints. In addition, bring in receipts from vinyl purchases April 1-20 for an extra chance to win the turntable.
