Beginning Monday and continuing through Saturday, more than 30 beer-themed events will be held at 15 Tacoma venues for the third Tacoma Beer Week, an annual ode to all things beer. News Tribune food and beverage columnist Sue Kidd highlights five TBW events happening next week.
Wingman Brewers was named “Best Microbrewery” in the Weekly Volcano’s 2016 Best of Tacoma issue.

Last night the Northwest Cider Association and Portland International Cider Cup announced the winners at the sold out Inaugural PICC Awards Party that was held at Widmer Brothers Brewing and hosted by Square Mile Cider. Judges ended up selecting eleven bronzes, eight silvers, and seven gold medals as well as a runner up and Best of Show cider.

Nearly seven years in the making, American craft beer has made a milestone leap into Europe’s time-honored beer culture. Stone Brewing Co. has announced that its Berlin, Germany brewery is now fully operational and the company is now distributing its beers to 17 countries throughout Europe.
